Winter

Summer

Spring

Fall
During the fall, the mountains turn a brilliant gold color as the aspen leaves begin
to change. The days are crisp and warm and it's the perfect time to head out for a
hike or a bike ride on our hundreds of miles of trails.

What To Bring For A Day In The Mountains
Sunscreen:
Mountain sun is intense, so don't forget to lather on the SPF ti avoid a burn.
Water:
Avoid altitude sickness by keeping yourself hydrated.
Layers of clothing:
Weather in the Vail Valley can change quickly any time of year. Always be prepared
for unexpected rain or snow with extra layers of an umbrella.
Nestled in the heart of Colorado's central Rocky Mountains, the Vail Valley is made
up of a series of towns connected by Interstate-70, each with its own unique
ambiance. Many of the towns have a rich history in mining, ranching and railroads.
It was not until the mid-1950's that the area was discovered as an ideal location
for skiing.
Vail
Modeled after traditional Bavarian villages, Vail's quaint village includes
hand-painted floral exteriors, pedestrian streets and Belgian horse-drawn carriages.
Over the next four years, Vail will be undergoing a $1billion renovation, including
new heated streets, several new and upgraded lodging properties, expanded parking
and much more.
Avon
Avon is a commercial and residential hub in the Vail Valley. At the center of this
bustling community is the tranquil Nottingham Park, with soccer and volleyball
fields surrounding the pristine Nottingham Lake.
Edwards
Edwards is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Vail Valley and a great
place for a day of shopping and dining. Strolling down the Riverwalk or the new
Corner at Edwards, you will find a wide variety of unique boutiques, from sporting
goods to cutting edge apparel. In addition, you'll find fantastic restaurants to
suit every palate.
Minturn
Just two miles south of I-70, and only 5 minutes from Vail, Minturn is a classic
western railroad town. Minturn's main street offers a peek into the past with quaint
galleries, shops and cozy restaurants.
Beaver Creek
Experience luxury in Beaver Creek. Grand Lodges, exceptional service, fine dining
and upscale shopping are the trademarks of this European-inspired village. Of
course, there is plenty to do for the whole family, with an ice-skating rink open
year-round in the heart of the town.
Eagle
Located 30 minutes west of Vail, Eagle is the Vail Valley's "down-valley" community.
The town's temperate climate makes it a golfer's haven. In addition, Eagle is home
to the county government, as well as the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport,
offering non-stop and connecting service to several major U.S cities.
