Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport: Located in the town of Eagle, just 30 minutes west of Vail and 20 minutes west of Beaver Creek, the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport is the most convenient way to travel to the area. Driving to the Vail Valley

Driving Directions
To Aspen from Denver and Eagle Airport: Aspen is 220 miles or four hours from Denver. Get on I-70 west to Glenwood Springs, connecting to Highway 82 at exit 116 to Aspen. Another scenic route from Denver takes approximately 3 ? hours via I-70 west to Highway 24 south then west to Highway 82 over Independence Pass (open only during the warm weather months, typically May 21 to Oct. 31) into Aspen. From Grand Junction Aspen is an easy 2 hour drive east on I-70 connecting to Highway 82, at exit 116, to Aspen.
To Snowmass Village from Denver and Eagle Airports: Take I-70 West to Glenwood Springs. Take the Hwy 82 exit 116 at Glenwood Springs toward Aspen. Follow hwy 82 for approximately 38 miles. DO NOT turn at the first sign for Snowmass: this will take you to Old Snowmass. Follow the signs for Snowmass Village/Snowmass Ski Area. Turn right at the light onto Brush Creek Road toward Snowmass Ski Area. Turn right at the light onto Brush Creek Road toward Snowmass Village/Snowmass Ski Area. Follow Brush Creek for approximately 5 miles.

Eating and drinking is more than just a caloric requirement in Aspen/Snowmass - it’s an event. So there’s no surprise the towns host one of the greatest collections of restaurants in the world. In fact, Aspen/Snowmass is home to more than 100 bars and restaurants, and is continually named one of the best dining destinations in North America.
For a fantastic breakfast, stop into the family friendly Wienerstube where breakfast is given an Austrian twist. Or meet the Snowmass locals at the Wildcat Ca, where morning people can grab a hearty breakfast burrito.
Of the many to go lunch options in Aspen/Snowmass, Johnny McGuire’s Deli is one of the best. If you prefer to sit down and be served, patio seating at Mezzaluna is prime real estate. Or settle in at Taster’s Pizza in Snowmass where they serve up some fo the best subs around.
On the “make reservations as soon as you arrive” list, be sure to include French bistro Cache Cache in Aspen. The patio they share with Campo De Fiori is the hotspot for al fresco summer dining. Be sure to include II Poggio and Artisan Restaurant in Snowmass. Demand is high, so plan ahead.

There are also a handful of area restaurants that can provide a little adventure with your dining experiencel Head out for dinner to Krabloonik, also home to massive dogsledding kennekls, or ride your bike to the exlectic Woody Creek Tavern. But remember the Tavern’s margaritas can be potent so you may want to arrange for a taxi ride back.
